Troubleshooting a failed download
Start with the link and the error Slurp actually reports.
Reviewed 18 September 2026 · Slurp 1.0.21. Check the source page
Open the same URL in your browser. Confirm that it is the actual media page, still exists, and is accessible to you. Private, removed, geo-restricted, DRM-protected, or otherwise restricted content may not be downloadable.
2. Retry and read the error
Retry the item once. Slurp distinguishes several failure types and may offer a targeted action such as updating site compatibility, updating the download engine, changing the download folder, or opening the source page.
3. Check updates
Use Installing and updating Slurp to check the app and its compatibility components. Provider websites change frequently, so a fresh compatibility update can matter even when your Slurp app version has not changed.
4. Try browser assistance when relevant
If the page works only while you are signed in, an optional browser companion may help on supported sources. It does not bypass the source’s access controls.
5. Send a useful report
If the failure remains, use Report this problem or Help → Contact Support inside Slurp. You can review optional diagnostics before sending and separately choose whether to include the affected URL. If the app is not available, use the website Contact form.
