  • How to download Instagram videos on a Mac
  • How to download TikTok videos on a Mac

If a download or recording fails, use Help → Contact Support or Report this problem inside Slurp when available. For anything else, use the Contact form.

Technical support

For download failures, source-compatibility changes, Telegram integration, Twitch live recording, or installation problems, use Help → Contact Support or Report this problem inside Slurp when available. You can review optional diagnostics before sending and choose separately whether to include the affected media URL. If you cannot use the app, use the Contact form. Please do not send passwords, session cookies, licence keys, or other secrets.

License help

Your Slurp license key is shown on the purchase confirmation page and sent to your purchase email. If you lose it, use the Contact form with the email address used for the purchase and include any receipt/order details you still have. Each license can be active on up to three Macs at a time.

Subscription access

Use Manage subscription to update payment details, view invoices, or cancel renewal. Individual — Yearly renews automatically each year until cancelled. Cancelling renewal leaves access active until the end of the paid period; it does not end access immediately.

When the paid period expires, downloading and recording stop. Files already saved remain on your Mac. A separate permanent license still covers the Slurp major version purchased with that license.

Refunds

To request a refund, use the Contact form, choose the refund/purchase topic, and enter the same email address used at checkout. Include any receipt or order details you still have.

Product-specific refund requests are reviewed under the checkout terms, applicable consumer law, and the circumstances of the request. Stripe Managed Payments / Link handles the transaction itself and can provide transaction-level support. A refund that is issued can revoke the associated Slurp license.

Read the payment and refund terms.

Supported sites

See the maintained supported sites and capabilities table for source-specific links, formats, live recording and account notes. Release notes record dated compatibility work.

Compatibility expectations

Sites and streaming services change frequently. If a previously supported source stops working, use Report this problem in Slurp when available so the source type, error details, and any diagnostics you approve can be included. Otherwise, use the Contact form. Slurp does not guarantee that every service, quality, login-protected page, or live stream will remain downloadable indefinitely, and it does not bypass DRM.

Privacy and open source

For information about licensing data and service providers, see the Privacy Policy. For FFmpeg and other third-party notices and corresponding release materials, see Open Source.

More questions about Slurp

Detailed answers about supported sources, formats, accounts and licenses.

What is Slurp?

Slurp is a native video downloader and live stream recorder for Mac. Paste a supported link to save video, audio or available subtitles to your Mac, or record a supported live stream as it happens.

Which Macs can run Slurp?

Slurp 1.0.2 requires an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or later) running macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs are not supported.

How does the free trial work?

The full trial lasts 7 days and starts after your first successful download or live recording. Every feature is included and no payment card is required. Use the trial to check the sites and formats you need before buying. Your trial does not automatically become a paid subscription.

How much does Slurp cost?

Choose Individual — Pay once at €19.99 for a permanent Slurp 1.x license, Individual — Yearly at €9.99/year for the latest version while subscribed, or Family — Pay once at €49.99 once for three individual Slurp 1.x licenses. Each person can use Slurp on up to 3 Macs. The checkout shows the final amount, including any applicable taxes, before payment.

What happens when my subscription expires?

Downloading and recording stop when your paid subscription period ends. Cancelling renewal does not end access early. Previously downloaded files stay on your Mac. If you also own a permanent license, you can still use the Slurp major version covered by that license.

What does the one-time purchase include?

Individual — Pay once gives you a permanent license for Slurp 1.x, including all Slurp 1.x updates. It does not include every future major version. A major upgrade, such as Slurp 2.0, is optional and costs €9.99 per person. Each purchased upgrade includes updates within that major version. You can keep using your purchased version if you choose not to upgrade, subject to technical compatibility.

How does Family work?

Family includes three individual Slurp 1.x licenses for €49.99 once. Each person can activate their own license on up to 3 Macs. Future major upgrades are optional at €9.99 per person, per upgrade, so each person can decide whether to upgrade.

Which sites does Slurp work with?

Supported sources include YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Snapchat, Twitch, Telegram, Dailymotion, Dumpert, X and Threads, plus many more. Availability, formats and quality depend on the source and can change. Try your own links during the free trial.

Can Slurp download Snapchat videos?

Yes. Slurp can download public Snapchat videos, including Spotlight, from supported public share links. Paste a link into Slurp to see the available download options. Private Snaps and disappearing messages are not supported.

Can Slurp record Twitch live streams?

Yes. Paste a supported Twitch live link, choose the recording quality, and record while the stream is live. Pause, resume, reconnect, or choose Stop & Save. Live recordings run separately from ordinary download slots.

Can Slurp download 4K or 8K video?

Yes, when the source offers that quality in a downloadable format without DRM. Slurp shows the quality options it can access for the link you paste.

Can I save audio or subtitles?

Yes. Choose video or audio before downloading. You can also save publisher-provided subtitles when the source makes them available.

How do Telegram downloads work?

Connect your own Telegram account in Slurp’s Settings → Integrations, then paste a supported t.me message link. Slurp can save media your connected account can already view. It does not bypass Telegram access controls. See the Telegram setup guide.

Do I need a browser extension or a login?

For many sites, pasting a link is enough. Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox companions can help on supported pages that need your browser session. Edge and Firefox are available from their official browser stores; Chrome uses Slurp’s guided manual setup. Some login-protected sources may still be unavailable. See the Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox setup guides.

Does Slurp track my downloads or upload my videos?

No. Slurp does not collect your download URLs, history, app usage analytics or site statistics. Media goes from the source to your Mac. Downloads, updates, integrations and licensing still need network connections. Read the privacy policy for details about licensing data and service providers.

Does Slurp bypass DRM?

No. Slurp does not bypass DRM or other access controls. Only save or record media you are authorized to keep, and follow the terms of the source service.

What happens when a supported site changes?

Slurp manages its download engine and compatibility updates. Support may change when a site changes, and not every source will always be available. If a link stops working, use Report this problem in Slurp when available so the source type and error details can be included, or use the website Contact form.

How do Verified Slurp user reviews work?

Eligible paying customers can use Help → Review Slurp… after normal product use. Eligibility is checked locally and the option stays hidden until it is available. Slurp verifies paid access with its signed entitlement without sending the raw license key, download URLs, filenames or browsing history to the review service. Each paid license can submit one verified review. Read Verified Slurp user reviews.

How do I get help with a purchase or refund?

For a refund request, use the website Contact form, choose the refund or purchase topic, and enter the same email address used at checkout. Include any receipt or order details you still have. To cancel a yearly renewal, use Manage subscription; access continues until the end of the paid period.
