How to download TikTok videos on a Mac
Keep a useful recipe, a reference clip or a video of your own. Start with one video’s link and choose the file you want to keep.
To download a supported TikTok video on your Mac, copy the individual video’s link and paste it into Slurp. Press Return to analyze the link, choose Video or Audio and an available output, then click Download to save it to your Mac.
Download in four steps.
Copy the individual TikTok link
Open the video in your browser and copy its address, or use its shared video link. Start with a specific video, rather than a creator profile or search page.
Paste and analyze
Open New in Slurp, paste the link and press Return, or use the Analyze arrow. Slurp follows supported shared links and looks for accessible media.
Choose a video or listening copy
Choose Video to keep the clip with sound, or Audio for an audio-only file. Select from the output options Slurp finds and check where it will save the result.
Download to your Mac
Click Download. The item appears in Queue while it saves, then in History when complete. Open the saved file from your selected folder.
Short shared links and full video links
A shared link may redirect to the video’s full address. If Slurp cannot resolve it, open the shared link in your browser and copy the address of the resulting video page. Check that it is the intended video before trying again.
Know which file you are getting
Available quality and audio depend on the media the source makes accessible. Slurp does not promise a watermark-free copy of every TikTok video. Check the downloaded file before using it in a project.
Saving a file does not grant permission to repost someone else’s work. Keep and use media only when you have the necessary permission.
If a clip is unavailable
Check whether the individual video still plays in your browser. Removed, restricted or otherwise inaccessible videos may not be available to Slurp. Try the full video address and check for app and engine updates before contacting support.
Common questions
Can I download TikTok audio separately?
Yes. For a supported video, choose Audio after analysis and select an available output option. The saved audio comes from the media Slurp can access for that link.
Does Slurp remove TikTok watermarks?
Slurp does not promise watermark-free downloads for every TikTok video. The result depends on the media available from the source. Check the saved file before using it elsewhere.
Why does a TikTok share link fail?
A shared link may redirect or the video may no longer be accessible. Open it in your browser, copy the resulting individual video address and try that in Slurp. If it still fails, send the error details to support.
