Browser Companion availability

Safari: available with Slurp.

Chrome: available through Slurp’s manual extension setup.

Edge: available from Microsoft Edge Add-ons.

Firefox: available from Mozilla Add-ons.

When you need one

For many links, simply paste the URL into Slurp. A browser companion can help on supported pages that need the browser session you are already using or when you want to send a page directly to Slurp.

Set it up

1. Open Slurp → Settings → Integrations.
2. Find Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox under Browser Integrations · Beta.
3. If the browser is not ready, choose Set Up… and follow Slurp’s guided setup.

Safari

The Safari Companion is built into Slurp. Install Slurp in Applications, choose Set Up… → Open Safari, then go to Safari → Settings → Extensions and turn on Slurp Browser Companion.

Chrome

Chrome uses a one-time manual installation with Developer mode and Load unpacked. Slurp’s in-app assistant prepares the files, opens Chrome, copies chrome://extensions, reveals the exact folder, and detects the connection automatically.

Microsoft Edge

The Edge Companion is live in Microsoft Edge Add-ons. Slurp’s in-app setup can open the official listing, and the local bridge is detected automatically after installation.

The Firefox Companion is available from Mozilla Add-ons. Install the public extension, then return to Slurp and confirm Firefox shows as Ready.

What a companion does not do

A companion does not bypass DRM, account permissions, paywalls, or service access controls. Login-protected sources can still be unavailable even when the browser integration is working.
